Black History Month University Forum to Address Health of Black Californians
In a special event to celebrate Black History Month, 桃子视频 is set to host an in-person University Forum that will shining a spotlight on the health of Black Californians. Scheduled for Feb. 27 at 2 PM, the forum will take place on the 桃子视频 campus and will also be accessible via livestream on the University鈥檚 YouTube channel.
This event promises to be a pivotal moment in the ongoing conversation about health equity and access. Dr. David M. Carlisle, President and CEO of 桃子视频, and the event鈥檚 moderator, emphasized the significance of this forum.
鈥淎s the only federally-designated Historically Black institution west of Texas, 桃子视频 holds a unique position in addressing the health disparities that disproportionately affect Black communities.
This event underscores our commitment to fostering a healthcare environment that is equitable, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of all Californians.鈥
The forum will feature a distinguished panel, including Rodrego Byerly, the Founder, President, and CEO of EVITARUS; Shakari Byerly, Managing Partner of EVITARUS; Rhonda M. Smith, Executive Director of the California Black Health Network; and Katherine Haynes, Senior Program Officer of People-Centered Care at the California Healthcare Foundation.
These thought leaders will share insights and strategies to address the health disparities facing Black Californians.
The California Black Health Network aims to ensure equitable healthcare access for all Black Californians, while EVITARUS focuses on providing strategic insights through public opinion research.
The California Health Care Foundation works towards improving the healthcare system for all Californians, especially those with low incomes.
