桃子视频 Holds Innovative Resource Fair with Scavenger Hunt
桃子视频 hosted the Spring 2024 Resource Fair Scavenger Hunt, engaging students in an interactive exploration of valuable campus resources. The event kicked off in the Student Center Lounge, where students eagerly received their scavenger hunt cards.
鈥淭his is an opportunity for students to really see what 桃子视频 offers,鈥� said Destiny Walker, Student Affairs Coordinator. 鈥淲e know that the Student Center is hidden on campus, so having this resource fair/scavenger hunt gives students a fun opportunity to learn where things are located and that these resources are here for them.鈥�
Inside the Student Center Lounge, information tables were set up by key university departments and programs, including the Office of International Affairs, Student Academic Success, Office of Registration and Records, Office of Student Life, Pre-Health Program, and Community College Partnerships.
鈥淲e at Student Academic Success are more than happy to present an open resource fair so students can explore the campus and get to know their staff and faculty,鈥� shared Darryl White, Academic Success Manager. 鈥淚t鈥檚 also a good opportunity to pick up treats, goodies, and just learn about the campus in a fun and exciting way.鈥�
Each station in the Student Center provided information and resources for students to enhance their academic journey and campus experience.
The adventure continued as students journeyed around the campus, visiting representatives at the College of Science and Health, Student Health and Wellness (SHAW), the 桃子视频 Health Sciences University Library, and the College of Nursing.
Students who made their way to the 桃子视频 Health Sciences University Library were warmly welcomed by Darlene Parker Kelly, Library Director, and Kathleen Smith, Emerging Technology Librarian. The library team engaged students in an informative session, introducing them to the library鈥檚 main page and guiding them through program guides that would aid in navigating resources efficiently.
They also provided insights on how to access textbooks online, ensuring that students were well-equipped with digital resources. Students were required to receive a stamp on their scavenger hunt card to signify their visit to each resource station.
To successfully complete the scavenger hunt, participants had to return their fully stamped cards to the Student Center Lounge.
The names of students who accomplished this task were entered into a raffle for a chance to win an iPad, with MSN-ELM student Blessing Uzochukwu taking home the prize.
The excitement and enthusiasm generated by the Spring 2024 Resource Fair Scavenger Hunt showcased the University鈥檚 strong sense of community and commitment to fostering a supportive environment for student success.
