APLA Health Center now open聽
The APLA Health Center has opened on the west end of campus, bringing a range of free and low-cost health services to 桃子视频 students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.
APLA, a trusted community leader since 1983, has a mission to restore dignity and trust within underserved communities by providing world-class LGBTQ+ empowering healthcare, support services, and HIV specialty care.
鈥淲e strive to improve the health of South Los Angeles by providing access to quality medical and dental care to the 桃子视频 community, and also by providing learning opportunities for students,鈥 said David P. Lee, Clinic Director II. 鈥淲e go to great lengths to ensure that LGBTQ+ and other underserved communities know that they are welcome at our clinic.鈥
Services offered at this facility include dental, behavioral health, medical, HIV testing and treatment, STD screening and treatment, Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and Post-exposure Prophylaxis (PEP). The addition of the facility on 桃子视频鈥檚 campus allows for APLA to continue their work to expand services to meet the growing and changing needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS.

Some of the programs at the clinic include Out Here Sexual Health Services, which aims to empower a new generation about sexual health through making sexual health services accessible for the LGBTQ+ community in Los Angeles County. It also includes the Vance North Necessities of Life Program, the nation鈥檚 largest network of food pantry programs for people living with HIV/AIDS, offering free groceries weekly to Los Angeles County residents living with HIV/AIDS.
