Each of ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ’s International Students, healthcare and nursing programs has unique admission requirements. Prospective students interested in completing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree at ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ should review the application steps for their specific program of interest.
The University welcomes applications from all international students. ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ (ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ) is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant students with an F1 Student Visa. The term “International Student” refers to any student who is not a permanent resident or naturalized citizen of the United States.
ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ requires a course-to-course evaluation that lists all subjects/courses completed at the post-secondary level, a U.S. semester credit and grade equivalent for each course, a U.S. grade point average (GPA), the level of undergraduate courses designated as lower or upper division, and the degree awarded with the title and date conferred. Application Requirements
International students must submit an admissions application, application fee, and all requisite supplemental application documents. For detailed application requirements, click here.
Applicants whose native language is not English must present evidence of competency in English by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Official TOEFL results must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions.
Financial Support
International students are ineligible for federal financial aid and are required to present proof of financial support by completing the Confidential Financial Statement and submitting it at the time of application for admission.
Visa Information and I-20 Forms
In order to receive a certificate of eligibility to study in the U.S. (Form I-20), international candidates must submit a complete application packet to the Office of Enrollment by the recommended deadline. Form I-20s are issued only to those international candidates who are offered admission to an academic degree program and who intend to pursue full time studies to obtain their degrees (undergraduate or graduate). ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ will not issue a Form I-20 to any international student who does not meet admission and U.S. immigration requirements. Once issued a Form I-20, International Students must present the Form I-20 to a U.S. Embassy or Consulate when applying for a student F1 visa. Upon enrollment and/or during the registration process, the Office of Enrollment will require International Students to present their I-94 Card, passport, the U.S. F1 Student Visa and any other immigration documents they hold at the time of enrollment.
Prospective students who are determined to be “out of status” with immigration are not eligible for admission to ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ. Prospective students who currently have a visa other than an F-1 should consult the Office of Enrollment to discuss their immigration status. Each visa category has restrictions on whether or not the visa holder can enroll at a university. Prospective students who have visas, passports or other immigration documents that are expired may need to seek services of an immigration attorney. Students confirm their acceptance of admission offers by paying a $50 deposit, which will be applied to the tuition for their first semester. Additionally, they must fill out and submit the intent to enroll form along with their non-refundable deposit.
