HRSA Public Health Scholarship Program (PHSP)- BSPH Program Overview
The ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ-PHPs Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Public Health Scholarship Program (PHSP) Project provides full-time BSPH juniors, and seniors offered admission to the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ BSPH Program In Urban Health Disparities, matriculating in the BSPH program and registering for at least 12 units/semester, a PHSP scholarship to cover 60% of the annual tuition and fees, plus funds for education supplies to facilitate their completion of the BSPH degree within two years. PHSP awards are disbursed equally each Fall, Spring, and Summer semester, within 1-2 weeks after the add/drop period.
Eligibility for the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ-PHPs HSRA PHSP award is based on the following criteria:
- Completion of the online ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ BSPH program application at .
- US citizenship or permanent residence status required.
- Completion of the FASFA application with our federal school code:Â 013653
- Offer of admission to the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ BSPH program.
- Â BSPH junior or senior status maintaining a full-time status by registering for and completing at least 12 units each semester.
This scholarship program is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $1,499,618 for three years with zero percentage financed with nongovernmental sources.
MPH HRSA Grant Awards
The MPH HRSA Grant Award provides MPH students from underrepresented minority (URM) backgrounds who are economically or educationally/environmentally disadvantaged and in financial need, scholarships of 60% of tuition and fees, and $1,666 for educational supplies for the first year of enrollment in the MPH program. The continuation of the scholarship is contingent on maintaining satisfactory academic progress and commitment to serving in medically underserved communities after graduation.

Eligibility for the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ-PHPs HSRA PHSP award is based on the following criteria:
- US citizen or permanent residence,
- Conduct field experience in Medically Underserved Areas (MUAs) for at least 3 months
- Commitment to seek employment in the PH workforce upon graduation
- Capped at 5 students/per cohort (each annual year)
